In balance between creative architecture and nature emerges 01 Libertador, a project located on one of the main axes of Montevideo, Avenida Libertador. This new urban piece is situated in the Aguada neighborhood, which in recent years has shown great dynamism and a process of enhancement. In this neighborhood, architectural heritage coexists with new urban landmarks that have transformed Montevideo's skyline.
The building rises vertically across 11 levels, housing 80 units ranging from studios to 1, 2, and 3-bedroom apartments under a condominium ownership structure, each with its designated parking spaces. All units feature exterior expansions such as balconies, terraces, and gardens depending on their type.
Located on a corner with three unobstructed facades, 01 Libertador showcases imposing irregular slabs that serve as trays for its gardens, orienting the units towards the outer perimeter to maximize contact with public space. The design prioritizes city views and integrates greenery throughout the structure. The vertical forest aims to enhance biodiversity within the city center, serving as a model for urban policies that incorporate plant species into humanized urban environments. These green facades reintroduce nature to the cityscape, aesthetically transforming urban spaces into more sophisticated, comfortable, and healthier environments.
The coworking space at 01 Libertador is directly connected to the central courtyard, offering more interaction spaces and flexibility for users.
01 Libertador presents a large north-facing facade that opens towards the adjacent historic buildings, thus creating a new urban and landscape framework in the city. The building stands out prominently due to its location, volumetrics, and architecture, making it a new landmark in the Aguada neighborhood. It serves as an architectural device that promotes the coexistence of architecture and nature in urban areas and facilitates the creation of complex urban ecosystems.
